Macron commemorates Napoleon’s bicentenary, but France is split on the memory of the emperor

PARIS. The celebrations for the bicentenary of Napoleon’s death were preceded by much controversy and now that the fateful day arrives, many are wondering what Emmanuel Macron will say, who behaves like a little Bonaparte to his opponents. The head of state will visit the Institut de France where his speech is scheduled and will go to lay a wreath on the tomb of the Invalides.
