The People’s Republic of China is not new to this type of attacks e intentional attacks directed against educational institutions. In the’last August a man had broken into a kindergarten in the southeastern province of Jiangxi killing three people and wounding six others, while in theApril of 2021 two children were killed and 16 others injured in an assault on Beiliu City, in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. The legislation China on firearm ownership is, unlike that of the United States, particularly restrictive. For this reason, most attacks of this kind are conducted through the use of knives. More than ten years ago, the then prime minister Wen Jiabao had delivered a speech on television, following a new wave of attacks, to promise a better security in schools and other efforts to solve the problem.
