[Epoch Times November 13, 2021]New York University received multiple bomb threats on November 11 and evacuated three school buildings in Greenwich Village. Later proved to be a false alarm. Recently, many prestigious schools have reported such “fraud” threats.
The New York City Police Department received the first call about bomb threats at 6:30 pm. New York University said on Twitter at 7:24 pm that these threats were directed at the Stern School of Business and the Neuroscience Center. (Center for Neural Science) and Hebrew Union College. People from these locations were evacuated one after another. After the police checked, the alarm was released at 9:35 pm.
On the 11th, a building at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) was evacuated after receiving a bomb threat, but the Cambridge police said they found no evidence to confirm this. MIT said the threat is aimed at green buildings or Building 54.
On the same night, the University of Southern California on the West Coast also tweeted that three buildings were being evacuated due to bomb threats, and the Los Angeles Police Department was also on the scene.
Prior to this, this Sunday (November 7) Columbia University, Ivy League schools Brown University, and Cornell University were all evacuated after police received fake bomb threats. Yale University reported a fake bomb threat as early as last Friday (November 5).
