Chelsea says so website Friday. Mjelde has been a key player for the club for a number of years.

– It has been seven great years. I came to the club in 2017 and it was a new journey to come to England, to London and to such a big club as Chelsea. When I look back on all the years, there have been more ups and downs, says Mjelde in an interview with the club.

She came to Chelsea from Avaldsnes after the 2016 season in Norway. With the London club, she has won the Super League five times, the FA Cup four times and the League Cup twice.

– Maren has been one of our leaders both on and off the pitch. Her experience and quality within the group has been important. She has played a big role in our success, says general manager Paul Green at Chelsea.

It is not known what will be the next stop in Mjelde’s career.
