Bali United beat Persis Solo 3-2 in continuation Liga 1 2023/2024 at the Captain I Wayan Dipta Stadium, Thursday (29/2). Three mistakes from Persis’ back line colored Bali United’s victory.
The victory over Persis Solo made Bali United move up to third place in the League 1 standings with a score of 45 points. Bali United shifted the position of PSIS Semarang (43 points) and stuck closely to Persib Bandung in second place, which also has 45 points.
Bali United scored the first goal through I Gede Sunu in the 23rd minute. Starting from Irfan Jaya’s pass, the wild ball failed to be thrown perfectly by Alexis Messidoro. The ball fell to Sunu’s feet, who then successfully kicked it without goalkeeper Gianluca Pandeynuwu being able to anticipate it.

The hosts’ lead increased in the 40th minute. Goals are created through almost the same process. This time it was Moussa Sidibe’s turn to make a blunder by failing to throw the ball.
Sidibe’s imperfect sweeping ball was then controlled by Andhika Wijaya who fired a hard horizontal kick from outside the penalty box. The 2-0 score for Bali United lasted until the end of the first half.
Three minutes into the second half, Sidibe paid for his mistakes in the first half by scoring a goal for Persis Solo. Receiving Jamie Xavier’s cross, Sidibe fired a header that shook goalkeeper Adilson Maringa’s goal.

After that the second half of the match was fierce. Bali United was only able to get out of the pressure in the 81st minute. M. Rahmat scored a goal for the hosts after taking advantage of a miscommunication between goalkeeper Gianluca Pandeynuwu and defender Arif Budiono.
Gianluca chose to come out of the penalty box to clear the ball, but M. Rahmat was able to reach the ball first and tip the ball past the goalkeeper.
Persis Solo then reduced the position through Ramadhan Sananta’s header in injury time entering the sixth minute. The 3-2 victory for Bali United lasted until the match was over.
