Jakarta –
A number of people demonstrated near the building RI KPU, Jakarta. Among the crowd who came, there was former Danjen Kopassus Soenarko.
Monitoring detikcom, Monday (18/3/2024), a crowd was seen gathering on Jalan Imam Bonjol towards the Hotel Indonesia (HI) roundabout. However, the crowd could only reach the front of the Bank Indonesia Mess because it had been blocked off so they could not demonstrate in front of the Indonesian KPU building.
It appears that there are a number of concrete barriers installed on Jalan Imam Bonjol. This partition that was installed prevented the masses from demonstrating in front of the Indonesian KPU building.

For information, at the KPU building an Open Plenary Meeting is underway to recapitulate the National Level Vote Counting Results.
Because of this partition, the crowd concentrated at the intersection of Jalan Imam Bonjol and Jalan HOS Cokroaminoto. The crowd was seen carrying a number of banners declaring their protest against the election results.

Currently, a number of people are giving speeches in the command car brought by the crowd. One of those who gave a speech was Soenarko.
“The point is that the election or presidential election that has just finished to this day still contains fraud and dishonesty. We also know that it started long before the presidential election was held,” said Soenarko, who also serves on the PKS Expert Council.
Demonstrations also have an impact on traffic conditions. It was observed that traffic conditions on Jalan HOS Cokroaminoto towards Menteng or Monas were quite congested. Meanwhile, in the opposite direction, traffic conditions looked smooth.
TNI-Polri Deployed to Guard the Demonstration
Previously it was reported that a number of elements of society would hold demonstrations in front of the DPR/MPR RI building, the KPU RI office and Bawaslu RI today. A total of 2,364 joint personnel were alerted to secure the demonstration.
“In order to secure today’s action in front of the DPR/MPR RI building, we involved joint personnel from Polda Metro Jaya, Polres Metro Central Jakarta, TNI, and other agencies. At the DPR/MPR RI it involved 1,087 personnel, at Bawaslu it involved 507 personnel, and “The Indonesian KPU involved 770 personnel,” said Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Susatyo Purnomo Condro when contacted by journalists, Monday (18/3).
Susatyo said that traffic engineering will be situational depending on conditions in the field. Traffic diversions will be implemented if necessary.
