Gidion said that the abuse was not carried out during campus activities. It is suspected that the activities carried out in the bathroom were initiated by the alleged perpetrator.
“This means that this is an activity that is not carried out officially by the institution. This is their individual activity, not carried out in a structured or curriculum manner, but this is an activity initiated by the students,” he said.
The police revealed that there were signs of violence on the victim’s body, namely a wound in the solar plexus. The victim’s body was post-mortem at the National Police Hospital.
“There are wounds from violence. The area around the solar plexus. Not (wounds from) blunt objects, but blunt injuries. We are still investigating the causes of death. We are still carrying out forensic laboratory examinations and post-mortem examinations by competent doctors at the Kramat Jati Police Hospital to find out the cause of death,” said Commissioner Gidion.
Police Name the Suspect

The suspect was presented before the police held a press conference at the North Jakarta Metro Police. The TRS suspect was then taken back to the North Jakarta Metro Police detention room during the press conference.
STIP Promises to Give Heavy Sanctions
STIP has opened its voice regarding the case persecution ended in death. STIP claims to have eliminated the culture of violence or hazing from the campus which is under the Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub).
“There is no culture of hazing on this campus and it is a hereditary disease that has been eliminated,” said STIP Chair, Ahmad Wahid, as reported by Antara, Saturday (4/5).
He said he had been on the STIP campus for one year and had not encountered this culture of violence. According to him, this latest case was beyond his control because the incident occurred outside the program created by the campus.
“We have eliminated that culture, it is purely ‘person to person’,” said Wahid.
He said the action took place outside the learning program created by the campus and took place in the bathroom. He said STIP would also impose harsh sanctions on perpetrators.
