She has 63 million Instagram accounts and is one of the most iconic stars of Generation Z: Millie Bobby Brown, who is now celebrating her 20th birthday, has been inspiring countless young people since her debut in ‘Stranger Things’.
But the girl who starred in the Netflix series has grown up and, now, having become a woman and businesswoman, she is ready to continue her professional career beyond the nest, already established as an actress with a career and happy with her personal life.
Although she is of British nationality, Millie Bobby Brown was born in Spain, specifically in Marbella (Málaga), on February 19, 2004. She is the third of the four children of Kelly and Robert Brown.
When Millie was four years old, her family returned to the land of their roots by moving to Bournemouth, Dorset. However, when she was eight years old, she decided to leave the old continent in order to travel to the new world and settled in Orlando (Florida).
Already in the United States, and enrolled in a school where she learned singing, acting and dancing on the weekends, an agent suggested that Millie’s destiny was in the city of stars, and that she should move to Hollywood.
In 2013, Millie made her television debut in the series ‘Once Upon a Time in Wonderland’. A year later she worked on ‘Intruders’ and ‘NCIS’. Already in 2015 she appeared in ‘Modern Family’ and ‘Grey’s Anatomy’.
However, it was in 2016 when Brown obtained the role that would change her life, becoming one of the protagonists of the successful Netflix series, ‘Stranger Things’. And, as a result of that, she became an international star and a promising actor.
Because Millie Bobby Brown is, following ‘Stranger Things’, one of the youngest actresses to be nominated for the Emmy Awards. And, at just 14 years old, Time magazine named her among the 100 most influential people in the world.
Thanks to the fame she acquired in the series, Brown has also ventured into the world of fashion and beauty: she has her own cosmetics and makeup brand, Florence by Mills, and has just launched a new clothing line, Florence by Mills Fashion, and has even worked as a model on several occasions.
The young woman also already has an outstanding film career and films for Netflix: ‘Godzilla: King of the Monsters’ (2019), ‘Enola Holmes’ (2020), ‘Godzila vs. Kong’ (2021), ‘Enola Holmes 2’ (2022).
The next installments of ‘Enola’ and ‘Godzilla’ are already underway, in which the actress will participate. Two other pending projects are ‘The Thing About Jellyfish’ and ‘The Girls I’ve Been’. In addition, her next Netflix film, ‘Damsel’, will be released on March 8 and, for now, the message of the trailer is clear: “This is not a fairy tale.”
And, at the beginning of the year, filming began on the fifth and final season of ‘Stranger Things’, which promises to be the closure that many fans are waiting for, so Millie’s time with the series that made her famous It is in its final stretch.
“I’m ready to say, ‘Thank you and goodbye,'” Millie said in an interview with Glamor about this farewell. And she is already prepared to continue her path, something incompatible with the Netflix series because: “it requires a lot of filming time and prevents me from creating stories that I am passionate about.”
“It’s been a very important part of my life, but now it’s… Like graduating high school, like that senior year: you’re ready to flourish and grateful for the time you’ve lived there, but it’s time to create your own message and live your own life,” he explained.

As for her personal life, Millie had a relationship with the singer Jacob Sartorius for seven months, between 2017 and 2018. After that she was paired with the tiktoker Hunter Ecimovik. When breaking up with Hunter, Bobby’s main support was Jake Bongiovi, son of Jon Bon Jovi himself.
