Alan Wake 2 Sales Raise Doubts Despite Remedy’s Claims
Despite claims from Remedy that sales of Alan Wake 2 are on the rise, fans are skeptical as the company has not provided the typical sales figures to back up their statement. According to Remedy, Alan Wake 2 is the company’s fastest-selling game to date, with 1.3 million units shipped. However, only 1 million of those units are set to ship before the end of 2023. Remedy also stated that sales of Alan Wake 2 increased by 50% in the first two months, with the number of digital copies more than tripling compared to the game Control in the first four months.
Remedy CEO Tero Virtala expressed delight at the sales of Alan Wake 2, stating that the game has recouped a significant portion of its development and marketing expenses. He also mentioned the company’s plans to continue developing the game to attract both existing fans and new players.
