Mirassol x São Paulo: where to watch the Paulistão game

This Tuesday (23), São Paulo travels to face Mirassol at the José Maria de Campos Maia stadium in the second round of the Campeonato Paulista. Tricolor Paulista won their debut game against Santo André, while the owners only drew with Ponte Preta. Check out where to watch São Paulo x Mirassol live below.

How the teams arrive

Still on their honeymoon with the fans, São Paulo did not disappoint the more than 45 thousand people who went to see Paulistão’s debut at the Morumbi stadium in the rain. With goals from Lucas Moura, Luciano and Diego Costa, the team beat Santo André 3-1. With that, Tricolor ended the round at the top of Group D, alongside São Bernardo.

The highlight was attacking midfielder Lucas Moura, who, in addition to scoring São Paulo’s first goal of the season, also provided an assist. He left the game with cramps and will be rested, but his physical condition is not a concern for the next rounds.

In the case of Mirassol, the season started with a draw against Ponte Preta in Campinas. Jeh opened the scoring for Macaca, while veteran Gabriel equalized for Leão. With this result, Mirassol is second in Group C, behind Corinthians.

With many changes in the squad since the end of Series B, in which they finished with a historic sixth place, Mirassol is trying to surprise once again in Paulistão. In 2020 and 2021, the team reached the semifinals of the competition, beating São Paulo and Guarani, respectively, in the quarterfinals.

Meanwhile, Tricolor Paulista aims to be champion of São Paulo for the first time since 2021. But, to do so, they will need to break the fate of not being able to win away from home — a taboo that cursed the team during the Brasileirão.
