Miss Bolivia, review of her album Bestia (2024)

Talents such as Miss Bolivia, who picks up his baton and leaves the flag high with a sound that is already the cultural heritage of the Latin American continent. With protest as a starting point, his music is based on rap and is fueled by all the sounds that are born in Latin America, be it cumbia, reggae, salsa, and countless others, giving us a journey brimming with culture and traditions.

and this album “Beast” meets all these premises, also adding renowned collaborations: the album begins with Muerdo collaborating on a catchy song where they tell us aboutlove”, which follows “I want to never see you again” (feat Romea), a song that continues the tradition of Miss Bolivia to cover a popular classic on each of his albums. The third song “Your head” is accompanied by Piti Fernandez on a slower rhythm, the fourth “Pekadora” It is the first of the solo songs on the album and the fifth “Arizona”, with Loli Molina, tells us about loneliness. As the sixth track we have “Pikante”, another solo song, while in the seventh he is accompanied by the Argentine star Cazzu, reflecting on why being single is devalued. The album ends with “Less Shit” (with Perota Chingó), a song very critical of today’s world, and with “Ego”, a rocker cut in which Eruca Sativa joins to close this “Beast” living up to its name.

A total of nine songs (7 collaborations and 2 solo) that make the Argentinian’s fourth album her consolidation as a reference for the traditional Latin sound, also adding more contemporary elements that have won her over to a young audience. Her music crosses borders and takes Latin American folklore to all corners of the planet, including our country where we can see it on tour during this month of June. Good news for those who like songs where the instruments play a leading role and the lyrics do matter.
