Moments of tension in Madrid: the police charge the farmers

Farmers’ protests continue in Spain. Around five hundred tractors gathered in Madrid causing traffic problems on the main access roads to the capital. The mobilization was called by the agrarian organization Union de Uniones which distanced itself from the other three main Spanish organizations, Asaja, Coag and Upa.
The tractors, together with around 100 buses, concentrated in Plaza Independencia, in front of the Ministry of Agriculture. Traffic around the Puerta de Alacalà is blocked and buses are stopped.
Moments of tension were recorded when police officers charged some demonstrators trying to disperse some gatherings.
