Two people were killed and two others injured in a tragic accident on Sunday in Puerto Cabello, Carabobo state. According to reports from the Puerto Cabello Fire Department and the GNB, a Triton truck overturned and fell from a bridge at the El Palito crossroads. The victims, a 31-year-old woman and her 21-month-old son, were from Barquisimeto, Lara state.
The accident occurred when the truck collided with a concrete bumper and then fell from the bridge. Firefighters from Puerto Cabello and the Juan José Mora municipality, along with GNB officials, arrived at the scene to transfer the injured to a nearby health center.
The community is mourning the loss of the mother and son, and our thoughts are with the families of the victims. The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
