At the time, there was a higher incidence of Monkeypox in the country. SES informs that the Ministry of Health has not made any new purchases of the aforementioned vaccine since then.
Recommendations
State recommendations are that, in cases of suspected skin lesions, material should be collected for diagnosis.
In case of suspicion, the patient must be isolated and monitored by health teams until the case is concluded, with the outcome of the patient’s cure.
The most common symptoms of Mpox are: rash or lesions spread across the skin, swollen tongues (adenomegaly, swollen lymph nodes), headache, chills and weakness.
Residents should look for a health unit to receive guidance and undergo a confirmatory examination.
