Mustafá, leader of Juventude Leonina, one of Sporting’s cheerleaders, is on the run from justice, SIC Notícias reported this Friday. According to the television station, a warrant for Mustafá’s arrest was issued two months ago, which has not yet been carried out. The origin of the warrant will be a crime included in the process that also includes Paulo Pereira Cristóvão, former director of Sporting and who on Thursday handed himself in to the authorities to serve a sentence of seven years and five months for kidnapping and home robberies. . In the case of Mustafá, the leader of Juve Leo was sentenced, remember, to six years and four months in prison for robbing homes in Greater Lisbon. Both were convicted in 2019 in this case, with Paulo Pereira Cristóvão having been sentenced to seven years and five months in prison and the payment of 165,799 euros and default interest, following two home robberies in 2014, in a situation that also involved other defendants, including Mustafá. The court found that Nuno Mendes participated in the planning and robbery of residences, in a process in which the robbers, dressed in PSP uniforms and with false search warrants, entered the houses and took the residents’ most valuable assets.
In 2021, the Lisbon Court of Appeal (TRL) maintained the conviction of the crimes of aggravated robbery (one), kidnapping (three) and attempted theft (one), in a case with 16 defendants and 12 of them being sentenced to effective sentences between four and 17 years old.
