“Our anti-aircraft systems are widespread. We are ready for any scenario, defensively and offensively. Israel is strong, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) is strong and society is strong,” Netanyahu said in an emergency address to the nation.
The IDF said earlier that the army was on high alert following reports that Iran had sent drones towards Israel.
IDF spokesman Daniel Hagari confirmed that Iranian drones are moving towards Israel and that the army is tracking them.
Israeli authorities have sent bombers and warships on a defensive mission in Israel’s airspace and territorial waters.
