Neuza Itioka, Christian leader from São Paulo, dies at age 81

Apostle Neuza Itioka died this Tuesday (6/2), aged 81, after facing complications resulting from pneumonia. Neuza was one of the main references of the Ministry of Healing and Liberation in Brazil.

Since 1988, the Christian leader has dedicated herself to the fields of liberation, inner healing and spiritual warfare. In the Brazilian scenario, Itioka held the presidency of the Ágape Reconciliation Ministry and the Neuza Itioka Institute.

The news of her death was confirmed by the institution on social media: “With deep sadness, we announce the death of Dr. Neuza Itioka. In the last few days, she was affected by pneumonia and was taken to the hospital where she received all the necessary support. It pleased the Lord to take his daughter to himself”, says the note.

Neuza was also the founder of the publisher AMAR, today known as publisher Coffea. In addition, she is also responsible for authoring a series of books, including “Inner Healing and Spiritual Warfare,” “Bride Restored,” “God Moves through Prayer,” and “Christ Rescues Us from Every Hereditary Curse.”

Daughter of Japanese immigrants, Neuza Itioka was born in April 1942 in the city of São Paulo. She graduated in pedagogy from USP, with a bachelor’s degree in theology from Faculdade Metodista Livre and a doctorate in missiology from the Fuller Theological Seminary, in Pasadena, California.
