The Slovenian midfielder spoke to Radio Serie A about his moment and what the team is going through after the draw in Florence
Sandi Lovric on Radio Serie A took stock of the situation at Udinese: “I’m happy, I also said it after the match against Fiorentina. There’s a bit of anger at not having won, but we have to continue working like this.”
Against Fiorentina a goal and also an assist for Thauvin:
“He told me: “well done!”. We did something similar in training too, almost the same action. I’m happy for him. What kind of player is he? High level, just think that he won the World Cup with France: this says a lot. The fact that he was called up to the national team is synonymous with great quality. How am I seeing the team? For us it is important to be compact, this allows us to be dangerous with counterattacks and team play. We have fast and physical players who can attack the depth and try to hurt the opponent.”
Reference players?
“My idol is Modric, as a person and as a footballer. I always try to learn from other players in Italy too: two examples are Barella and Mkhitaryan, who play as half-wingers”:
