A deadly crowd at an Evangelical church in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria. Dozens of victims are feared, overwhelmed in the crowd that was created during a free distribution of food and groceries by the King’s Assembly Church. According to the local press, the massacre took place during the fourth edition of the event. Many people in search of food had arrived since Friday, others had stood in front of the entrance since dawn. Still others arrived around 08:00 and opened a gate from which the ever-growing crowd tried to enter. It was a tragedy. “I counted about 31 bodies on the ground,” said a source. Among the victims there are also children.
