Nikola Jokić and other Denver starters will almost certainly miss the match with Philadelphia.

On the night between Tuesday and Wednesday it is on the program the long-awaited match between Philadelphia and Denver (1.30), but apparently that match will not live up to expectations. Denver announced that practically their entire first five is questionable for the game, so most likely we won’t see Nikola Jokić on the floor either.

The Nuggets announced that Nikola Jokic has a problem with his left hip, Michael Porter Jr. with his left knee, Aaron Gordon with a heel, Jamal Murray with calf muscle inflammation, while Kentavious-Caldwell Pope has a neck problem. So, it’s very likely that some of them will miss the trip to Philadelphia, and after all, it wouldn’t even be a surprise if coach Michael Malone rests all five of them so they don’t risk a serious injury.

This could also mean that we will not see the much-anticipated duel between Jokić and Embido, and the last time they met was a year ago when Philadelphia was celebrating – and many think that this match decided that the Cameroonian will receive the MVP award. After that, he did not come to the match in Denver, where he has traditionally not come for years.

Remember, Joel Embiid is also having problems with injuries this season which could affect his MVP candidacy since if he misses ten more games, he will be automatically disqualified for that race.
