Second division soccer team HSV has distanced itself from the choreography of its own fans in the game against SV Elversberg in a statement. The Hamburg supporters had attacked the police with banners and were apparently referring to the police operation in Bergedorf after the away game at Hansa Rostock.
In a statement, the third-placed party rejected the messages and content “clearly and unequivocally”. “Our living room, the Volksparkstadion, is no place for hate messages and no place for blanket condemnations of people and professional groups,” it continued.

Fans of the “Rothosen” had shown two banners in the north stand before the game against Saarland (1-0), which read “Never a friend, never a helper. “We as HSV stand for togetherness, for exchange – sometimes controversially – and for respectful interaction. We will continue to approach this issue with this attitude,” said the HSV: “We will enter into the very critical internal dialogue with the authors this choreography.”

HSV Supporters Club is investigating the lawsuit
After the raid in Bergedorf, the fan organization HSV Supporters Club announced that it would examine a lawsuit. In an interview with NDR, he said that people were not allowed to leave the train and had to stand in the corridor and that some toilets were unusable.
“Together as the Supporters Club and Fan Help, we have called on fellow travelers to contact us, to prepare their experience reports and memory protocols – and then perhaps we will also talk about a class action lawsuit,” said the spokesman.
