A year after her sister Satou’s triumph, Nyara Sabally lost her chance of winning the EuroLeague title. The German national basketball player lost in the final four in Mersin/Turkey with ZVVZ USK Prague from the Czech Republic in the semifinals against the French club Villeneuve-d’Ascq LM with 78:84 (43:37).

On Sunday the game for third place is against hosts Cukurova Basketbol Mersin, who lost 80:89 (42:48) in the Turkish duel Fenerbahce Istanbul.
Sabally contributes twelve points
Berliner Sabally (24), one of her team’s top throwers with twelve points on Friday, joined the Prague club with New York Liberty after her first WNBA season in the USA and directly reached the final tournament of the premier class.
Her older sister Satou (25/Dallas Wings) took part in the Final Four twice with Fenerbahce, she came third with the club in 2021 and won the title in 2023.
