Omar Merlowith a distinguished past at Sporting Cristal, told him goodbye to the courts of officially as a player.
The Argentine after having played for the last time in the Curicó Unidos team, made the decision to retire from football. Prior to his return to soccer in Chile, a country of which he has nationality after staying for a long period, he was in the ranks of the Sporting Cristal, club which he arrived with the mission of reinforcing the central defensive zone in 2018 and stayed for five seasons, until 2023.
In addition, the defender came to defend a great squad from his native country such as River Plate and other clubs abroad such as San Felipe and Huachipato, both Chilean teams.
In total he has three trophies, which are from the titles with Huachipato in 2012, and the other two with the Rimense cast are from the 2019/2020 season and the 2021 Bicentenario Cup.
