In his emotional Instagram post, Omar Merlo dedicated words to all the clubs he defended and left a special dedication to all of Chile.
Omar Merlo’s farewell words for Unión San Felipe, Huachipato and Curicó Unidos
Unión San Felipe: “It was a pivotal club in my career, feeling again that you are important in a team. A tough, but spectacular year. A new country for us that would give me and my family so much joy. Thank you!”
Huachipato: “What can I say about this club? It changed our lives forever, in sports and as a family. Many joys and also some sadness, but the love they gave us made every moment worth it. We made history, ‘Champion of the South’. It will be engraved in our hearts. Thank you!”
Curicó Unidos: “And finally in Curi we had the most difficult battle and the one that will surely make us all stronger. Another difficult year, but where you cling more to the people you love and the friendships that are always there. To everyone who accompanied, thank you.”
