The W learned for the first time that Colchones Paraíso and Muebles y Accesorios went into liquidation by order of the Superintendence of Companies due to non-compliance with payments to creditors, that is, those who owe them.
The incident has left hundreds of people affected, such as buyers, landlords and employees (close to 600).
According to the first estimates made by sources familiar with the process, the companies have debts of more than 100,000 million pesos.

María Camila Parra narrated in La W that she bought a mattress on January 2 of this year at the store located on Avenida de las Américas, for a value of $4,600,000 and they told her that they would deliver it in 20 days, but this was not passed.
“At first they answered and then they didn’t answer. Once this happened, I went to the physical point where I bought and I realized that it was closed,” he stated, adding that he toured several points and realized that they were all closed.
But he stated that this is not the most serious thing. “The most serious thing is that the sales platform is still enabled on the website. There is clearly a risk of consumer loss,” she stated.
For his part, Nery Sáchica explained that on January 27 of this year he bought a mattress for $2,600,000 and they told him that it would be delivered in 30 days.
“30 days passed and I called and they didn’t give me a response. I called the advisor and they told me that they had liquidated it and that she should go to the store, but they had already closed. “We want a response from the authorities,” she assured.
But, in addition, it was learned that although the company went into liquidation on February 26, until February 25 they were selling mattresses.
On the side of the former workers, Camilo Rodríguez stated that he worked with them as an inventory auditor last year and they owed him his settlement.
“I realized that employees are owed salaries and compensation since the pandemic; They had the Davivienda account seized and asked clients to pay by Efecty or in another account; They billed clients for lease and payroll contracts for the corporate name dream test and carried inventory and money for home and comfort,” Rodríguez asserted.
In this way, he stated that they owe rental payments for premises for 6 months or more.
Likewise, he said that the managers wanted the severance payments to be exchanged for mattresses.
