Viral car driver suspected of being a Pertamina employee spitting after not accepting being reprimanded for parking in the middle of the road in the Pesanggarahan area, South Jakarta convey an apology. Pertamina confirmed the apology.
“Yes (name of car driver Arie Febriant). That’s right (viral video), the person concerned has apologized,” said Pertamina Vice President Corporate Communication, Fadjar Djoko Santoso when contacted, Sunday (7/4/2024).
Arie Febriant’s apology went viral on social media. Through the video, Ari admitted that he spat because he was reprimanded after parking in the middle of the road. The following is the contents of Ari’s apology:

Assalamualaikum, I’m Arie, the car driver who is currently being talked about a lot. I hereby express my deepest apologies to sister Mila (another car driver) and colleagues as well as all the people who were disturbed by my bad and inappropriate actions.
Through this video, I also express my deepest regret for my inappropriate actions and actions where on April 5 2024 I parked my vehicle incorrectly which caused traffic jams and I also committed a disrespectful act, namely spitting on the vehicle of sister Mila and colleagues.
Through this video I once again apologize to sister Mila and I am ready to apologize both directly and indirectly to sister Mila and colleagues.
PT KPI Investigation
PT Kilang Pertamina Internasional has also opened its voice regarding the viral case. PT KPI is currently conducting an internal investigation regarding the existing case.
“It is still being investigated internally at PT KPI,” said Fadjar when contacted.
Arie Febriant’s action also went viral on social media. In the video circulating, the black car can be seen stopping in the middle of the road. The car driver got out of his car and bought food from a street vendor (PKL) at the location.
This action was protested by other drivers who were also video recorders. Because it makes traffic flow clogged. You can also see queues of vehicles both two-wheeled and four-wheeled at the location.
The video recorder appears to be admonishing the driver to move his vehicle. In the video, the car driver responds by spitting.
“Oh my gosh, he’s the one who’s grumbling. Look at me, these gentlemen have made a mistake, they stopped in the middle of the road, I was spat at. It’s just a traffic jam, oh my god I swear people are really stupid. Oh my God, how do you get me to pass,” said the video recorder.
