Not far from Bačka Topola and Subotica, there is the Pačirska spa, an oasis of peace and beauty, and a unique bathing place with a specific color of thermal water, which you will not find in all of Europe. The warm water comes from a depth of 1,400 meters and is salty, with 21 to 22 grams of salt per liter. Thermal water is poured into the lake through a pipe placed in the middle and mixed with the well water in order to reduce the temperature of the thermal water, which goes up to 72 degrees, writes PressSerbia.
Thanks to this, the temperature of the lake water is up to 35 degrees. The color itself comes from iodine, bromine and lithium which are found there in high concentration. Based on the composition of the water, the spa received a medicinal certificate. The water has the smell of iodine and other minerals, but you can get used to it in a few minutes.
The lake covers an area of 2,000 square meters, and the bottom is covered with rounded stones that are extremely pleasant to the feet when walking in the water. In addition to the lake, the complex also has two indoor swimming pools that are available in winter with a capacity of up to 200 people. What you need to know, if you want to enjoy swimming in the pink lake, is that it is pink only during the summer months. At the end of the season, the lake is drained and cleaned, and the gravel is washed away, so that it is ready for the next season.
As MONDO checked on apartment rental websites, the prices are very affordable. One of the cheaper offers we found is that in August for one night you should spend 2,800 dinars for two people.. The most expensive offer we came across is about 5,000 per night for two people.
