Bisnis.com, JAKARTA – Bhayangkara FC lost 1-4 to visiting PSS Sleman, in a League 1 match played under the hot sun at the STIK Stadium, Jakarta, Thursday (22/2/2024).

With this result, Bhayangkara is still slumped at the bottom of the League 1 standings with 15 points. Meanwhile, an additional three points for PSS made them occupy 12th position with 30 points.

Having the status of the visiting team, it was PSS who took the initiative to attack first. Ajak Chol sent a dangerous bait, but Hokky Caraka failed to catch it.

Entering the sixth minute, PSS broke the deadlock. From the counter-attack scheme, the ball failed to be cleared by the Bhayangkara defender and was then struck accurately by Ricky Cawor. 1-0 for PSS.

Bhayangkara is trying to get up as soon as possible. Belgian star Radja Nainggolan fired a speculative shot which was easily caught by goalkeeper Anthony Pintus.

The Guardians were only able to equalize in the 14th minute. Taking advantage of the chaotic situation at the PSS goal mouth, Matias Mier fired an accurate shot into the visiting team’s goal.

Hokky then restored Bhayangkara’s lead in the 21st minute. Starting with Elvis Kamsoba’s bait from the left side of Bhayangkara’s defense, Hokky, who was unmarked, easily snatched the ball into Bhayangkara’s goal.

Until halftime, both teams tried to create a number of opportunities even though there were no significant threats that either team could create. The 2-1 lead for the Javanese Eagle Team lasted until the end of the first half.

Matias Mier had a good chance to equalize for Bhayangkara at the start of the second half but his attempt to continue Radja’s pass was still anticipated by the PSS goalkeeper.

In fact, it was PSS who increased their lead in the 62nd minute. From a quick throw-in, the ball was controlled by Elvis Kamsoba. The Bhayangkara player blocked his kick, but the ball was immediately hit by Ajak Chol.

The Bhayangkara disaster became more complete in the 70th minute, when David’s hand hit the ball in the forbidden box. Ricky Cawor’s penalty execution came in to complete a 4-1 win for PSS.
