Police investigate complaint from teacher who says she had nude photos leaked by students, in GO

History teacher Bruna Flor de Macedo Barcelos reported to the police that nude photos of her were leaked by students after they accessed private folders on her personal cell phone. The teacher was fired from the Doutor Gerson de Faria Pereira State School, in Alto Paraíso de Goiás (GO), close to the Federal District. According to delegate Rafael Rossi, the case is already being investigated.

— We just received the complaint and began the investigation — he told Globo. According to him, the teacher and witnesses have already given testimony — Until then we have a possible infraction analogous to the crime of 218-C, of ​​the Penal Code, which typifies the conduct of publishing nude scenes without the victim’s consent — he said.

According to him, investigations so far indicate that those responsible for the disclosure and sharing would be “minors”, he said, referring to students.

The teacher reports that she lent her cell phone to the students so that they could record photos of an event on Black Awareness Month for an activity that would be applied later. The students would have accessed her private photo folder and shared nude images of her with other students.

The teacher said that the school management discovered the case after a coordinator saw students gathered together and realized that they were looking at the photos. The case happened in November last year.

“I felt violated, violated. Afterwards, the school management created a letter saying that students felt embarrassed to attend my classes because they had seen my nude photo. A reversal of who was the victim in the situation”, said the teacher.

According to Bruna, after the situation she began to be mistreated in the school environment by colleagues and management. The dismissal occurred less than eight months after the start of the contract, in 2023. The portrait had a duration of five years, according to her. Bruna reports that she has been experiencing financial difficulties, as her support came from working at school.

According to G1, the school management said that the internal regulations make it clear that employees cannot lend their personal cell phones to students. Furthermore, the institution would have advised the teacher to contact the police.

O Globo contacted the State Department of Education of Goiás for a position on the case and is awaiting feedback.
