Sudana said that that morning Ayu was being driven to work by Susanti. Arriving at the scene, the motorbike they were riding lost control and fell into a ravine. Police Investigate Cause of Accident

Confirmed separately, Nusa Penida Police Chief Commissioner Ida Bagus Putra Sumerta said the police were investigating the cause of the accident. He revealed that the location of the incident was a downhill and curved road. On the right and left sides there are deep ravines. Below it is a corn plantation owned by residents.

“At that time, residents passing by did not know that someone had had an accident and at 12.00 WITA, local residents saw and helped,” said Sumerta.

In fact, the road traveled by two women riding a Honda Beat motorbike was quite wide, namely 5 meters. The road is also equipped with safety measures of 30 centimeters each. The condition of the road is also smooth because it has just been paved.

So far, the police have not been able to confirm whether the condition of the victim’s motorbike had failed brakes or something else. However, Sumerta continued, what was clear was that the driver was unable to control the speed of the vehicle so it slid far down. The condition of the motorbike itself was quite badly damaged.

Previously, a Nusa Penida resident conveyed information about the fatal accident via live broadcast via Facebook social media in the name of the Dex Asta account, at 12.00 WITA, Sunday (11/2/2024). He tried to find residents who recognized the victim’s face.

He checked the pulse of the black-jacketed motorcyclist who was not beating and gave the pregnant woman a drink of water.

Meanwhile, Director of RSU Gema Santi I Ketut Rai Sutapa said the accident victim arrived at the hospital in a lifeless condition. Ayu died due to bleeding and injuries.
