Manchester – Arsenal FC is keeping the title race in the English Premier League exciting until the last matchday. The team led by German national soccer player Kai Havertz won their penultimate game of the season at Manchester United 1-0 (1-0) and thus regained the top of the table.
In the hard-fought game at Old Trafford, Leandro Trossard secured the Gunners’ narrow away win with his goal in the 20th minute.
This means that Arsenal’s rivals and defending champions Manchester City cannot become champions early. Before the season finale next weekend, the Cityzens have to play their catch-up game at Tottenham Hotspur. Coach Pep Guardiola’s team is in second place in the table with just one point less than Arsenal.
The title decision can only be made in the long-distance duel on Sunday. Arsenal then host Everton FC at home in London. Manchester City plays against West Ham United in their own stadium.
