Preparations for Lailatul Qadr

Jakarta

Lailatul Qadr is a special night for Muslims. His arrival is always looked forward to every month of Ramadan.

No one knows when Lailatul Qadr will be. However, Lailatul Qadr is believed to come on the last ten nights, precisely on the odd nights of Ramadan according to the words of the Prophet SAW which reads:

“Look for Lailatul Qadr on the odd night of the last ten nights of Ramadan.” (HR Bukhari)

For this reason, Prof. Nasaruddin Umar via detikKultum detikcom which aired on Tuesday (26/3/2024) appealed to Muslims to increase their worship and prayers while waiting for the night of Lailatul Qadar.

“This Night of Lailatul Qadr is not even just a multiple reward. Whatever prayer we ask God willing will be answered by Allah SWT. When we are waiting for the night of Lailatul Qadr, pray a lot,” explained the Grand Imam of the Istiqlal Mosque.

Prof Nasaruddin Umar also reminded us that prayers should not be offered based on lust, but rather blessings. Because, blessing is the most important thing.

“The most important blessing. Blessings are more important than the most, the biggest or the tallest. What does lots, high and big mean if there are no blessings,” he continued.

Prof. Nasaruddin Umar further explained that on the night of Lailatul Qadar the quality of Muslim worship is equivalent to a thousand months. Therefore, increase your dhikr, tadarus and prayer.

According to him, Lailatul Qadr night should be invited with mature personal and mental preparation.
