President Joko Widodo officially appointed Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono as Minister of Agrarian and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) of the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet for the remaining term of office for the 2019-2024 period. The inauguration ceremony was held at the State Palace, Jakarta, on Wednesday, February 21 2024.
Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono was appointed based on the Decree of the President of the Republic of Indonesia Number 34/P of 2024 concerning the Dismissal and Appointment of State Ministers in the Advanced Indonesian Cabinet for the 2019-2024 period. On this occasion, President Jokowi took the oath of office of the appointed minister.
“I swear that I will be loyal to the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia and will carry out all statutory regulations as straight as possible for the sake of my service to the nation and state. “That in carrying out my duties, I will uphold office ethics, work to the best of my ability, with a full sense of responsibility,” said the President dictating the oath of office.
The inauguration event ended with President Joko Widodo giving congratulations, followed by the limited number of invited guests who attended. Also present at the inauguration ceremony were Vice President Ma’ruf Amin, leaders of high state institutions, a number of Advanced Indonesia Cabinet Ministers, TNI Commander General Agus Subiyanto, and National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo.
In his statement after the inauguration, Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono expressed his gratitude for the trust that President Joko Widodo had placed in him to serve as Minister of ATR/BPN. Agus said that he would carry out this task with full responsibility.
“This is a responsibility that God willing, I will carry out as hard as I can even though we also realize that this is not a long period, more or less 8 months. “But I always believe that whatever the time, we can do the best for society and the country,” he said.
