King Charles of England announced that he had cancer. The diagnosis was made in January when he underwent treatment for an enlarged prostate, which led to early detection and hopes of making a full recovery. On February 6 (local time), Prime Minister Sunak told the BBC: “Like everyone, I am shocked and saddened. My thoughts are with the King and his family. Thank God.” “Luckily it was caught early and he will receive the necessary treatment and make a full recovery. This is our all hope.” It has been announced that the king will continue to perform his duties as a monarch, such as signing official documents and giving audiences during his treatment, but he said, “I will refrain from going into details, but we will continue to communicate as usual.”
The British Royal Family announced in a statement on February 5 that the King had been diagnosed with a type of cancer and had begun regular treatment. Although he will not be hospitalized, he will refrain from appearing in public for the time being in accordance with his doctor’s advice. “The King is grateful for the prompt intervention of the medical team, which was made possible thanks to his earlier hospitalization. Prince Harry, who has left the royal family and lives in California with his wife, Duchess Meghan, and their children, returned home alone to visit his father. He left Los Angeles on February 5th and arrived in London the following day on the 6th, apparently having their first reunion since his coronation in May of last year at Clarence House, where the King has lived for many years since his days as Crown Prince. The King is said to have individually informed Prince William, Prince Harry, and his own siblings Princess Anne, Prince Andrew, and Prince Edward of his cancer diagnosis.
