The owner’s full name is Dr. Raden Mohammad Marty Muliana Natalegawa, M.Phil, B.Sc, who is usually called Marty, is a figure involved in the field of foreign policy.
During the era of President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono’s administration, Marty held the position of 17th Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia. Marty was born in Bandung, West Java on March 22 1963.
He married a woman from Thailand named Sranya Bamrungphong. From this marriage, Marty and Sranya were blessed with three children.
Since he was a child, Marty studied abroad, from junior high school to getting a doctorate. After graduating from high school in 1981, Marty earned a Bachelor of Science (Bsc) at the University of London and successfully graduated in 1984.
After that, he continued his education and succeeded in obtaining a Master of Philosophy degree at Corpus Christi College, Cambridge University in 1993.
Seeing his background in studying abroad and his knowledge of the international world since he was 9 years old, led Marty to serve as an Ambassador for Foreign Affairs and at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
He started his career at the Department of Foreign Affairs in 1986. Marty held the position as Permanent Representative of the Republic of Indonesia to the UK and Ireland in 2005-2007 which was previously held by Juwono Sudarsono. Then for the UN in America starting from 2007-2009 which was previously occupied by Rezlan Ishar Jenie.
Marty served and was officially appointed as Minister of Foreign Affairs in the United Cabinet II on October 22 2009, previously held by Dr. N Hassan Wirajuda starting from 2001.
In carrying out these duties, Marty is expected to be able to carry out revitalization and reform of foreign policy and diplomacy as well as increase the dedication of diplomats, this is because foreign policy can determine the progress of the nation.
