The winning queens of the three categories of the contest represent Cecores, from Restinga
The Vila Restinga Community Center (Cecores), in the Restinga neighborhood, hosted the Porto Alegre Queen of Public Swimming Pools competition, on the morning of this Saturday, 17th. The event, organized by the Municipal Department of Sport, Leisure and Youth (Smelj), divided participants in three categories according to age group: young (15 to 29 years old), adult (30 to 59 years old) and elderly (60+).
First lady Valéria Leopoldino participated in the event as a judge and celebrated the competition at Restinga. “It was a very special event to contribute to the self-esteem of all the girls who competed,” says Valéria.
The competitors presented parades and performances, seeking to highlight not only their physical beauty, but also confidence and personality in front of the jury who evaluated, among different criteria, the relationship between the candidates and the units they represented. “Our intention was to bring joy and beauty to these spaces so beloved by the people of Porto Alegre during the summer. It’s a special way to celebrate our public swimming pools”, says the owner of Smelj, Débora Garcia.
The jury was composed of the secretary Débora, the Youth director of Smelj, Neilson Ribeiro, Beatriz Dockhorn, of Bia Brazil, Diego Garcia, of POA 24 Horas, first lady Valéria Leopoldino, the administrative director of Smelj, Ana Paula Pagliosa Bastos , Record TV presenter, Samuel Vettori, and RDC TV presenter, Gigi Fauri.
The event had the support of the local community and the partnership of Floricultura Winge, Bioage, Bia Brazil and Sindipedras-RS.
