Rapper Moha La Squale, indicted in particular for rape of a spouse, was arrested in Germany where he had traveled despite his house arrest, the Paris prosecutor’s office told franceinfo on Friday February 9, confirming information from BFMTV.

The rapper was arrested at the border with Poland on December 31, 2023, on a European arrest warrant. “He was handed over to France by the German authorities on Thursday February 8 and must be presented to the Parisian investigating judge this Friday for notification of his warrant”specifies the prosecution, which requires his placement in pre-trial detention by the judge of freedoms and detention.

Real name Mohamed Bellahmed, the artist has been indicted for spousal rape since July 2022. He had to respect house arrest with an electronic bracelet. He was also already indicted for acts of sexual assault, domestic violence and death threats against a spouse and other ex-partners. In April 2021, he defended himself on the social network “never, ever raise a hand against a woman”. “This plot was perpetuated to harm me”he argued.
