In a very entertaining game, Napoli achieved their second win in a row. After a wonderful direct pass from Kvaratskhelia, Chiesa brought Juventus back in the second half before Joker Nonge missed out.

After the liberating 6-1 win in Sassuolo, SSC Napoli were keen to improve at home against Juventus. First, the champions almost invited the Bianconeri: After Olivera lost the ball, Vlahovic headed a buttery Chiesa cross just wide (10th). Napoli had more possession of the ball, but the guests were more determined and moved forward at lightning speed. Vlahovic wanted to refine Chiesa’s fine pass with a sensitive chip from an acute angle, but the post had something against it (34′).
Kvaratskhelia’s fine direct acceptance is right
After that, Napoli also found the gap in the Old Lady’s defense more and more effectively. In the 42nd minute, Juve could no longer defend themselves from the constant stress of constantly rolling attacks: a blocked di Lorenzo cross landed at Kvaratskhelia, who slammed it onto the near corner. Because Cambiaso deflected the direct pass, Szczesny couldn’t get there and couldn’t prevent the deficit (42′).
Vlahovic could have equalized this, but standing free in front of the goal, he circled the ball next to the goal (45th). Overall, it wasn’t half of the Serbian attacker who also saw his fifth yellow card and will therefore miss the game against Atalanta Bergamo.
Vlahovic exploits opportunities
Even after the break, the game initially remained entertaining, Cambiaso shot over (53′), Vlahovic was denied by Meret (61′). But then the game petered out.
In the final phase it was the Bianconeri who, driven again and again by Chiesa, took the initiative and, after many missed opportunities, scored: Chiesa sent a low shot straight into the far corner to make it 1-1 (81st).
Jokers play a leading role
Shortly beforehand, many changes had slowed down the flow of the game. Among others, Raspadori came at Napoli (65th) and Nonge at Juve (76th). Both were to become key players in the following minutes.
Less than ten minutes on the pitch, 18-year-old Nonge hit Osimhen on the ankle from above in the penalty area in just his second Serie A game – referee Maurizio Mariani decided on a penalty (86th) after VAR advice and review of the images. However, the fouled man shot it weakly and Szczesny parried it. Because Raspadori won the sprint of those behind and chased the ball into the left corner of the cross, it was enough for Napoli to secure their second win in a row (88′).
Rugani almost struck again in stoppage time like he did a week ago in the 3-2 win against Frosinone, but the defensive player’s shot revealed the Bianconeri’s main problem that Sunday evening: They simply didn’t put enough on goal – not even in their last action (90th minute). +2).
This means that the three-pointer against Frosione remains Juve’s only win from the last six games. On Monday evening, table leaders Inter have the chance to put 15 points between themselves and their pursuers against Genoa.
