Carlo Ancelotti made many changes to the starting XI. Eder Militao, Ardi Guler and Fran Garcia played from the start. Meanwhile, Thibaut Courtois stood under the crossbar.
The first half was even for both teams. Madrid had a good chance from Eder Militao’s long-range shot. Meanwhile, Cadiz got a good chance from Ruben Sobrino which was blocked by Nacho.
There were no goals in the first half. Madrid almost conceded at the start of the second half. Luckily, Courtois was deft at being able to block the ball in one-on-one situations with his opponent.
Madrid then broke the deadlock in the 51st minute. After carrying out individual action, Brahim Diaz fired a hard kick which broke into Cadiz’s goal. Madrid winning 1-0.
In the 66th minute, Ancelotti played Jude Bellingham. Two minutes later, the English player scored a goal after receiving Brahim Diaz’s pass. Real Madrid are leading 2-0 and are increasingly comfortable controlling the flow of the game.
Joselu closed Real Madrid’s party with a goal he scored in injury time. Joselu finally scored after several missed opportunities. Joselu scored a goal through Nacho’s assist. Madrid won with a score of 3-0.
