Real Madrid mastered the dress rehearsal for the Champions League semi-final against Bayern Munich with a B team.
In the 1-0 (1-0) draw at Real Sociedad San Sebastian, German national players Antonio Rüdiger and Toni Kroos, among others, initially sat on the bench, but coach Carlo Ancelotti’s team still celebrated their sixth league win in a row. The league leaders thus extended their lead over second-placed FC Barcelona to 14 points.
Madrid had the game in San Sebastian brought forward a day in order to have more time for regeneration before the first leg in Munich on Tuesday (9 p.m./Prime Video). The league game was originally scheduled for Saturday evening. Arda Güler (29th) scored the goal of the evening.
