The group phase matches in the 2023 Asian Cup will be held again today. The matches in Groups B and C of the 2023 Asian Cup will be presented tonight.
There were four matches held in these 2 groups. At 18.30 WIB, Australia’s match against Uzbekistan determines whether the two teams will qualify for the last 16.
If the two teams draw, then Australia and Uzbekistan can both qualify for the last 16 of the 2023 Asian Cup.

Australia now leads Group B with 6 points, followed by Uzbekistan (4), Syria (1) and India (0). So one additional point is enough for Australia and Uzbekistan to advance to the next round of the 2023 Asian Cup.
Meanwhile, Syria still has a chance to qualify to secure the top three positions in Group B. The condition is that they have to beat India with lots of goals and hope that Uzbekistan loses.
On the other hand, if Syria vs India ends in a draw then Syria will finish third with two points. This condition certainly influenced the Indonesian national team to be able to qualify for the round of 16.
The reason is, if the match against India ends in a draw, then Syria will be in third place with 2 points, the same as China which is in third place in Group A standings. The points won by these two teams are fewer than Indonesia (3 points).
This means that there are already two third-place teams that are confirmed to be below Indonesia in the standings of the third-place teams. For the record, the four third-place teams have the right to get tickets to the round of 16 with the other two teams being dropped.
From Group C, there are two matches, namely Hong Kong vs Palestine and Iran vs United Arab Emirates. Group C itself is led by Iran with 6 points, then the UAE (4), Palestine (1), and Hong Kong with no points.
Hong Kong has certainly been eliminated. Hong Kong will face Palestine, who can still hope to qualify for the next round. Palestine needs to win, and at the same time must hope that the United Arab Emirates will lose to Iran.
Head-to-head, Palestine and UAE are still tied, because they played 1-1 previously. This means that Palestine only needs a big win and hope that the UAE also loses big to Iran to have a chance of qualifying for the next round.
