Review of the Film “No Way Up”, Surviving a Shark Attack on a Plane

Bisnis.com, JAKARTA — Indonesian cinema is back with the arrival of shark terror films. However, this one with a different plot twist.

The film “No Way Up” was directed by Claudio Fäh and produced by David Brierley and Will Clarke. It is an adventure and action genre film.

Written by Andy Mayson, the film stars Phyllis Logan, Colm Meaney, Will Attenborough, James Carroll Jordan, Jeremias Amoore, Sophie McIntosh, Grace Nettle, Manuel Pacific, David Samartin, and Scott Coker.

Different from shark terror stories in general which start on the beach, this time the story actually starts from the air. When a couple and their best friend go on a holiday trip to Cabo, Mexico by plane.

Throughout the journey, the plane they were on did not move smoothly, often experiencing turbulence and even crashing into a flock of flying birds.

Not long after, the plane’s engine caught fire and the old plane they were traveling in began to disintegrate, had holes, and fell into the Pacific Ocean. Several passengers and crew members fell out of the plane and were trapped inside the plane.

However, in the midst of this unfortunate tragedy, a group of people managed to survive, a couple, their best friend, a bodyguard, a cabin crew member, a grandmother and her grandson.

They survived thanks to an air bag at the back of the plane that had not been submerged in water. However, it was not easy to get out of the sinking plane, because the plane was surrounded by a group of vicious sharks.

Can anyone survive? Watch “No Way Up” in your favorite cinema starting today, February 2 2024.

Review Film “No Way Up”

Businesses have the opportunity to watch this film before the scheduled screening. Like shark films in general, this film has a number of tense scenes and makes the audience curious about what will happen next.

This film is also equipped with sound and music which makes the story even more tense. Overall, the tension in the film is built from the sound system and music.

However, on the other hand, the acting of the actors in the film is still not good, and actually makes this film not suspenseful.

Several scenes also show unnecessary interactions, where the actors say sentences to calm themselves that do not help in the situation they are experiencing. The choice of survival story also doesn’t make sense and the way the main character survives is also very unrealistic.
