This Thursday, in a game valid for the second round of Group H of the Libertadores, River Plate hosted Nacional-URU at the Monumental de Nuñez and won 2-0. The winning goals were scored by Claudio Echeverri and Facundo Colidio.
Thus, with the positive result, the Argentine club, which had already won in its debut, reached six points, thus leading the group. Nacional was parked in third place, with the same three combined as vice Libertad-PAR.
River Plate’s next duel will be against Instituto, in the last round of the first phase of the Argentine Championship. The ball rolls next Monday, at 8 pm (Brasília time), at the Juan Domingo Perón Stadium. For the Libertadores, the team will face Libertad on the 24th (Wednesday), at 9 pm (Brasília time), at the Stadium Defenders of the Chaco, in Asunción. Nacional, in turn, will also play again next Monday, in the Uruguayan Championship. The team faces Miramar Misiones, at 8:30 pm (Brasília time), at the Luis Franzini Stadium. For the international competition, the next match will be against Deportivo Táchira on the 24th, at 7 pm (Brasília time), at the Gran Parque Central Stadium.
The goals
The first goal of the match came at 15 minutes into the first half, with Claudio Echeverri. The River athlete received it from Borja and sent a beautiful shot from outside the area, into the right corner of goalkeeper Mejía.
Finally, in the 48th minute of the second half, Facundo Colidio took advantage of the rebound from Mejía’s good defense and pushed it into the back of the net.
