Jakarta (ANTARA) – A late goal from Robert Andrich saved Bayer Leverkusen from defeat after the match ended in a 2-2 draw against Stuttgart in Week 31 of the German League, at the BayArena Stadium, Leverkusen, Sunday morning WIB.

Before Robert Andrich’s goal, Stuttgart had taken the lead through Chris Fuhrich and Deniz Undav, then Bayer Leverkusen reduced the gap through Amine Adil, according to Bundesliga records.

This draw means Bayer Leverkusen remains in first place in the German League standings with 81 points from 31 matches.

Meanwhile, Stuttgart maintained their position in third place in the standings after collecting a total of 64 points from 31 matches.

Apart from that, this draw also extended Bayer Leverkusen’s unbeaten record to 46 matches under coach Xabi Alonso.

Statistically, Bayer Leverkusen in this match threatened more often by releasing six kicks on target, but Stuttgart had the advantage in possession of the ball with 51 percent.

Leverkusen created the first chance in this match through Jeremie Frimpong’s shot which was still sideways from the Stuttgart goal.

Stuttgart turned into a threat after Leonidas Stergiou’s cross was met by Serhou Guirassy’s header, but the ball went sideways from the Leverkusen goal.

Entering the second half, the match continued to be interesting and finally Stuttgart was able to steal the lead through Chris Fuhrich’s goal in the 47th minute, so the score changed to 1-0.

In the 57th minute Stuttgart managed to double their lead to 2-0, after Deniz Undav’s right foot shot tore Lukas Hradecky’s goal net.

Only four minutes later, Leverkusen was able to reduce the deficit to 1-0, after Alex Grimaldo’s pass was converted into a goal by Amine Adil’s left foot kick.

Leverkusen almost equalized through a kick released by Jonas Hofmann, but it was saved by goalkeeper Alexander Nubel.

Next, the two teams traded attacks, but an additional goal was only created when entering extra time in the second half.

Leverkusen was able to equalize the score at 2-2, after a pass from Piero Hincapie was converted into a goal by Robert Andrich in the 90+6 minute. This score lasts until the match is over.
