Whether you’re a fan of Achievement Hunter, have watched Red vs. Blue since its inception or just catching the occasional viral moment, chances are you’ve seen some form of Rooster Teeth content in your lifetime.

After 21 years, the company founded by Halo friends who made silly videos has been shut down by Warner Bros. Deadline reports that the shutdown process will take several months, but it started yesterday when the announcement came via internal email.

Plans are being made for the digital content created by Rooster Teeth to continue to be visible, and the Roost Podcast will continue for the foreseeable future, but otherwise this is the end of an internet era.

Rooster Teeth has had several owners during its lifetime, but it appears that Warner Bros. Discovery either couldn’t use it, or decided it wasn’t profitable enough to keep it. Regardless, with this, the company’s focus on live-service gaming, Coyote vs. The ACME debacle and more won’t win Warner Bros. just some popularity contests.
