Rosario Murillo is the priestess of a religion without God

The writer Gioconda Belli wrote on her social network X (formerly Twitter) that Rosario Murillo intended to become the priestess of a religion created by herself. Its publication aims to explain why the viciousness of the attacks by the dictatorship of Ortega and his wife against the Catholic Church of Nicaragua, which is reflected in the wave of arrests of religious and the escalation of repression against the most credible institution in the country.

“Long ago I predicted that Murillo sought to become the priestess of a Church invented by her. She proclaims the end of those who stand between her and that God she has made exist for herself and invokes him to endorse her heartless actions. Her God does not exist,” Belli wrote.

Every noon, Rosario Murillo attacks any person or institution that does not endorse the dynastic project and speaks about God on his own terms, ranting against others.

In this regard, the theologian Michel Najlis was consulted in 2019 by the digital platform La Lupa, about the use of Faith in Murillo’s speech.

“He goes around saying that God stops here, that God stops there, that love, hope, that all these invocations are not the product of an intense, deep spiritual fervor but are used for certain objectives rather of a political purpose,” Najlis commented in that occasion.

“This manipulation of faith is a very serious sin. The second commandment is you shall not call on the name of God in vain. “A rooster cannot crow any clearer,” added the theologian.
