There is no peace for Alexei Navalny. Vladimir Putin’s number one rival, says that a new criminal case has been opened against him: Novaya Gazeta Europa and the BBC report it in Russian, citing a post published on the internet by the opponent, now in prison on charges clearly considered to be of matrix politics. According to Novaya Gazeta Europa, Navalny says he is accused of creating “an extremist group”, with the aim of “inciting hatred of officials and oligarchs”.
On May 24, the Russian justice had confirmed on appeal the sentence to 9 years in prison under “severe regime” for Navalny, tried for fraud and outrage to the court. In the courtroom, the dissident had declared: “Putin is a madman and his is a stupid war built on lies.”
