MADRID. The Prime Minister, Mario Draghi, arrived at the Ifema convention center, the Madrid fair, where the work of the NATO summit will soon begin. All the leaders are arriving in dribs and drabs and soon there will be an official welcome from the Secretary General of the Atlantic Alliance, Jens Stoltenberg, and the head of the Spanish government, Pedro Sanchez. At 10.25 the customary collective photo is scheduled, immediately afterwards the first working session will begin, which will open a speech by the Ukrainian President Zelensky. The leaders will discuss “the current events and prospects of the conflict in Ukraine and its implications for NATO. The strengthening of NATO’s posture of deterrence and defense on the East flank will be one of the themes at the center of the first working session ”, confirm Italian sources.
Prime Minister Mario Draghi is accompanied to the summit by Defense Minister Lorenzo Guerini and Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio.
