The funeral service for a famous Saarlander took place in Berlin on Monday: Frank Farian. Many companions were invited, including the journalist and musician Roland Helm. He accompanied Farian for a long time for a large film portrait – and was there in Berlin.

Frank Farian made stars of Boney M. and Milli Vanilli, and his songs sold millions. At the end of January, producer and composer Frank Farian died at the age of 82.

Funeral service for 150 guests

Relatives and friends of Frank Farian said goodbye to the late music producer at a memorial service in Berlin on Monday. Around 150 guests were invited to the funeral service, according to journalist and companion Roland Helm. Farian’s children also attended the funeral service.

In addition to his family, many musical companions were also there, including Boney M. and No Mercy.

Burial in Spiesen-Elversberg

Farian died at the end of January at his last place of residence, Miami, Florida, at the age of 82. Farian will find his final resting place in Saarland, in Spiesen-Elversberg. His remains will be buried in the immediate family circle in the next few days.

Helm says his wish was to be buried next to his mother. The funeral in a small private circle will take place in March.
