The first Scania V8 Fire Edition customized by Svempa was revealed to the public in a world premiere during Transpotec 2024.
The famous Swedish designer, known as “Svempa” Bergendahl, together with his collaborator Jan Richter, created a limited series of Scania V8 inspired by Svempa’s spectacular show truck, called “Frostfire”. This exclusive series will include only 100 units, of which 50 Frost Editions have already been produced and delivered to customers, and 50 Fire Editions are already available for order.
The Fire Edition stands out for a series of exclusive internal and external styling elements that recall the previous Frost edition. The result is immediately visible: extraordinary graphics with fluid and iridescent lines, a unique style combined with exceptional energy efficiency, driving experience and performance of the powerful Scania V8 engines. Compared to the Frost, it features the new digital interface for the driver, Scania Smart Dash, and a livery with warm and fiery tones that evoke the passion of those who drive V8s.
Sven-Erik “Svempa” Bergendahl started making vehicles over fifty years ago. Over the years, together with his Chief Designer Jan Richter, he has created some of the most spectacular show trucks in the world. His career has been characterized by a close collaboration with Scania, which acquired the rights to his brand in 2021.
On the occasion of Scania’s 50th anniversary in Italy, a special edition with a 660 HP V8 is presented. The graphics, developed together with an Italian creative team, aim to represent the connections and emotions evoked not only by the roar of the engine, but also by the energy of people.
To celebrate the long journey alongside customers and all those who are part of the organisation, a time stamp is highlighted: 1974 – 2024. On 28 June 1974 the first Scania in Italy was registered, marking the beginning of constant growth and consolidating its commitment to customer service. For fifty years, vitality, energy and a sense of belonging have made Scania a unique community and reality in Italy.
